How it works

01

Package

Online for CHF 89, Online + Market for CHF 159 or Full service for CHF 249. The link to your personal account arrives by e-mail right after payment.

02

Catalogue

You upload photos, sizes and your price. We take care of descriptions, filters and translation into three languages.

03

Sale

The buyer reserves the piece and pays you directly. We e-mail you about every enquiry for your piece.

Why it sells

Why your pieces will find a buyer here

  1. 01

    Advertising

In city chats, as well as in English- and Russian-speaking communities.

  2. 02

    A catalogue in 3 languages

Russian, German, English: a wider audience than any chat.

  3. 03

    Online reservations

A piece is reserved in advance, and you arrange the meeting directly.

  4. 04

    A proven format

We ran a mini version, with CHF 5,000 in sales on word of mouth alone. Now with full promotion.

  5. 05

    Conscious consumption

One of FASHION REBORN’s core themes, and we actively champion it.

Short on time? You can send your pieces by post with the Full service package: we handle receiving, photo editing and descriptions, and return shipping of unsold items is included.

What we accept

A focus on luxury

We accept

Luxury and premium

Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Hermès, Dior, Bottega Veneta, Loro Piana, Max Mara, Burberry.

Also welcome

Mid-range

BOSS, Sandro, Maje, Ted Baker. Always welcome in the catalogue.

We don’t accept

Mass market

H&M, Zara and the like: it isn’t luxury, and the catalogue won’t help it.

Separately

Menswear and kidswear

Their own categories in the catalogue. There’s demand there too.

How others do it

Compare us with what you’re used to

Pick the option you’d normally use. Same example every time: pieces sold for CHF 1,000. We count not just the commission, but everything you’ll have to pay and spend.

Now, honestly

What your hour is worth

In pure money terms, we’re not first. Ricardo is 89 francs cheaper than us. The city flea market, by almost 150. The only question is what you think your hour is worth.

And one more thing, honestly: a good piece is rarely bought straight away. People want to try it on, touch it, check that it’s authentic, look at it in the light. Organising that yourself is a quest of its own: arranging, meeting, letting a stranger into your home, explaining why it’s the real thing. We solve that quest for you: fitting rooms, lighting, rails, documents to hand and a real conversation with the buyer. This comes with the Online + Market package.

vs Ricardo4 hours saved22CHF / hour
vs Mädelsflohmarkt7.5 hours1CHF / hour
vs the city flea market8.5 hours18CHF / hour

And that’s assuming luxury sells on the square at all. It won’t. For reference: if your hour is worth more than 22 francs, you can stop counting.

Authenticity

No compromises here

When you upload a piece, you confirm it’s authentic. We don’t list copies, replicas or “nearly original”: a note in the description doesn’t release you from responsibility.

Have a receipt, serial number, dust bag, box? Upload them. It noticeably raises the price and speeds up the sale.

Pieces with receipts and documents get a status in the catalogue, and sell faster:

Guarantee

Money-back guarantee

Nothing sold over two markets? We refund your participation fee. The guarantee applies to pieces that meet two conditions:

01

The piece is backed by documents

A receipt, certificate, serial number, original box, dust bag, authenticity card: any of these.

02

The price follows our recommendation

For every piece you upload, we give a recommended price: we look at the brand, condition, season, completeness and what similar pieces actually sell for in Switzerland, in practice rather than by the catalogue.

You can set any price you like; it’s your piece. But if the price is above our recommendation, or there’s no proof, the guarantee doesn’t apply to that item.

We take responsibility for what we can influence. An inflated price is the only real reason luxury doesn’t sell. No shop window can fix that.

Money

How payment works

Each piece has its own QR code. Whether it sells by reservation or is scanned at the market, the deal lands in your personal account. You can see at any time what has sold, what is reserved and how much it all comes to.

Money for the piece goes directly to you. We don’t receive or hold it:

The invoice arrives within 7 days after the market and must be paid within 14. Details are in the terms of participation.

Preparation

How to prepare your pieces

Clean, washed, smelling good, everything fastens and works. This isn’t nitpicking. The decision to buy is made in three seconds, before someone has finished reading the description and price.

01

Clean and fix

  • Wash or dry-clean. A dry-cleaning receipt adds trust: photograph it and attach it
  • Check zips, buttons, fastenings and lining. A sticking zip on a bag takes a third off the price
  • Remove pilling. A fabric shaver costs fifteen francs and restores a piece’s look better than anything else
  • Smell. Perfume, cigarettes, storage cupboards: it won’t air out in a day
02

Photograph

  • The photo is half the price. Shoot in daylight by a window, without flash and without a yellow lamp: it turns white grey and beige dirty
  • A plain, calm background: a wall, a door, a light sheet. A kitchen, a carpet or clutter in the frame lowers the price, even if the piece is perfect
  • One look per piece: a full shot first, then the label, texture, hardware and any wear, honestly. A hidden defect means a return, not a saved sale
  • Steam before shooting. A creased piece in the frame reads as “it’s been sitting around”, and the price drops before the buyer finishes the description
03

Shoes and bags

  • Shoes: clean them, replace the insoles if worn
  • Bags: empty them, wipe the lining, stuff with paper to hold the shape
04

Documents

  • Find the documents: receipt, card, dust bag, box. They affect both the price and the guarantee

We do the selection before publishing in the catalogue. That’s fairer: you find out in advance, not after the fact.

After the market

What happens to unsold pieces

The market ends, the catalogue doesn’t.

The online catalogue keeps running.

  1. Market day · before closing

    Collect your pieces

You can collect your pieces on market day before closing, or within a week by arrangement.

  2. Sent by post

    Returned at our expense

Anything sent by post goes back at our expense.

  3. After 30 days

    They pass to us

If pieces aren’t collected and return shipping isn’t paid within 30 days, they pass to us. We say this plainly so there are no misunderstandings later.
